Overview

This Scope of Work defines the requirements for the manufacturing, quality assurance, and delivery of the following steel components for the temporary support structure of the Al Thumama Stadium roof:

Lifting Support Upper Ring
Tension Girders Support
Tie Down Support
Vertical Bracing Support

The components will be integral to ensuring structural stability during the construction phase and are critical for the temporary support system of the roof.

Scope of Project

A. Material Procurement

Procure all materials (e.g., structural steel, bolts, plates, welding consumables) as per the approved specifications.
Ensure materials comply with international standards (e.g., ASTM A36, A572, or equivalent).
Provide material test certificates (MTC) for all procured materials.

B. Fabrication and Manufacturing

Manufacture the following items as per approved shop drawings and technical specifications:
- Lifting Support Upper Ring: To facilitate the lifting and positioning of roof sections.
- Tension Girders Support: To sustain tensile forces during roof installation.
- Tie Down Support: To counteract wind uplift and stabilize temporary supports.
- Vertical Bracing Support: To ensure lateral stability of the temporary support system.
Perform cutting, shaping, welding, and machining as per the drawings.
Conduct pre-assembly of critical components for dimensional verification.

C. Surface Treatment

Conduct surface preparation (e.g., sandblasting to SA 2.5).
Apply corrosion protection (e.g., epoxy primer or galvanization) as per project specifications.
Ensure coating thickness is verified and recorded.

D. Quality Assurance and Testing

Conduct visual and dimensional inspections during fabrication.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT), including ultrasonic testing (UT) or magnetic particle inspection (MPI) for welds.
Submit inspection reports and quality assurance documentation for client review.
Ensure all items are tagged and marked for traceability.
